BITSAT is a bit tricky as far as preparation is concerned. First, the test is not only on our regular PCM topics – there are English and Aptitude sections as well. Secondly, there is a constant dilemma amongst the students about the level of questions asked. I answer some such questions and strategy of preparation in the list below:
1. Be a quick problem solver – you should be able to understand the problem fully in the first reading itself. Try writing down the given numerical information as you read the problem, so that you don’t have to look up again for them in the question while solving.
2. Understand the level of questions asked in BITSAT – the level is slightly higher than JEE Mains questions. No need to break your head over long subjective problems.
3. Master the topics most frequently asked – previous years question papers are a great help in this regard. You just can’t afford to miss even a single question from these “scoring” topics.
4. Attempt the bonus questions – even if you end up with a few negative markings, these questions still increase your final score by at least 20-25 marks.
