Surprised as we have never felt the need for this question to arise, once you are admitted for any program at NIT Patna.
It is a very safe place.
- Once you are inside the campus, there are guards everywhere and security is very high during important occasions and weekends.
- The girls hostel is located inside the campus itself- and it has female security guards. Unlike your assumption about strict hostel wardens, they are more like family and are very friendly to you.
- Registers are maintained both at the entrance of campus as well as hostel. You are required to sign it everytime you move in and out of the hostel/campus. It might me cumbersome, but all worth it for the security. And no questions will arise about where you are going.
- Questions do arise about when you are going, lol. You can go out of the campus from 05:30AM (early enough) and whenever and wherever you go, make sure you are back by 08:00PM. Shops and restaurants get closed around 9PM anyway in Patna.
