Rules for modifying hostel rooms at BITS pilani
- L x W x H of the room to remain. unchanged
- Tunnels between rooms cannot be constructed
- Construction of underground bunkers are strictly prohibited
- All original furniture (movable & immovable) should be preserved for your junior future occupants in liveable usable (tolerable) condition
- Windows to be opened once in an year atleast to allow fresh air & for walls and the furniture to see light of the day
- Max number of nails allowed 25/sft
- Rooms should not be converted into biological/biochemical weapons. Who knows Uncle sam might attack. Take bath once in a month & change bedsheet once in an year atleast( for godsake please don’t put the bedsheet in laundry)
- Bare foot walking in the room should not create more than 100 N of adhesive force on humans. Cleaning the floor a minimum of once in 4 years is recommended. Also floor to ceiling clearance cannot be reduced more than 5%
