How many subjects are in computer science?

The whole field of Computer Science is too large.

You cannot count computer science by the number of subject because each topic turns into a book once you go in depth.

But few subject that every computer science student must know (at least the basics) are:

1. Data Structure and Algorithm
2. Computer Architecture
3. Operating System
4. Database System
5. Networking
6. Theory of Computation
7. Compiler
8. Machine Learning (given that every industry is adapting ML rapidly)
