I have been in CSE dept and its the best stream for Placements. The IT sector has developed too much because of which every college gives priority to the CSE department.
SRM University also gives more importance to CSE students. I graduated this year and i know the Placements have been really good this year specially for the CSE students. Almost everyone got placed in a firm.
The companies are divided in Mass-Recruiters, Dream Company, Superdream company, International company.
Students get placed in Mass-Recruiter (Around 3.5lpa) very easily. Once students gets placed in these companies, now they strive for the Dream Companies (5lpa or above).
Is it really tough for a CSE student to get into a Dream Company?
Answer is NO becuase if you are good in coding, programming, algorithms etc, you can get this job easily. It will be tough for a CSE student to get a job here if he/she dont know much programing but now they can try for a Non-Technical Company like Delloite, KPMG, Mu sigma, ZS Associates and many more.
