Not many, to be honest. Now I had a friend who got SGPA of 9.8 in first semester and 9.6 in the second semester. He was from civil branch and all of us hoped and wanted that he would get CSE or ISE easily according to previous year cut offs. Little did we know that there were no seats of ISE available for branch change and only 2–3 seats for branch change to CSE. Another of my friend had a CGPA of 9.4 ,but he didn’t get either CSE OR ISE…
For ECE there were sufficient seats and so wasn’t a problem provided u have a good GPA.
But let me tell u frankly and honestly if u are coming to RVCE with a hope of branch change, u might consider it again. Not that it is impossible, but you should have a really great GPA and by great I mean seriously great and also a bit of luck.
