Bennett University is the first private university in India to get an AI supercomputer. It is DGX V100 from graphic chip giant NVIDIA, a US based company. It sets the Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence at the institute’s campus. This allowed students of the university to work in unimaginably efficient and novel ways, in the realms of science and engineering. NVIDIA V100 Tensor Core is the most advanced data center GPU ever built to accelerate AI, high performance computing (HPC), and graphics. It’s powered by NVIDIA Volta architecture, comes in 16 and 32GB configurations, and offers the performance of up to 100 CPUs in a single GPU.
Basically, it is a very powerful machine which is used by the students at Bennett University for various purposes. A lot of current research is carried out on supercomputers, which can perform multiple tasks at very high speeds than any other normal computer. This includes computational biology, physics and chemistry with applications such as drug discovery and fabricating new materials.
Along with that if you have some super awesome project, you can discuss that with your professor and with his help you can work for your project using this giant machine. This not only improves the productivity but also saves the time.
In simple words, if some student has some wonderful project or wanna work in some sort of research, this powerful machine proves to be a big help to them in their work.
