UPES closed the placement season for the 2021 graduating batch with 3000 plus offers. A total of 800 students received more than one job offer. Overall, the placements stood at 94 % for all the schools. School of Computer Science and School of Engineering had 100 % placements. The university hosted 649 companies on campus in comparison to 561 last year in 2020.
The university is pulling all stops to develop a world-class pool of young and talented professionals with relevant real-world education and on-the-job exposure. The industry readiness of UPES students has been lauded by recruiters time and time again.
The Career Services department at UPES has been making extra efforts to ensure that the students have adequate industry exposure and are organically absorbed into professional roles.
In March 2020, when the first nationwide lockdown was imposed, it was placement season for the graduates. The biggest setback was for the final year students as they were unaware of the virtual recruitment process. But very soon they geared themselves up with video resumes, elevator pitches and took specific measures to enhance their virtual presence. This year UPES has managed to offer multiple jobs to deserving and meritorious students who have been hired by Indian and global corporations, start-ups and unicorns. The highest pay package for the year 2021 is 27 LPA from UPES School of Business.
