The starting package varies each year, and is obviously low for almost all Indian Institutes. Why are you aiming for the starting package though? I’d say aim for the stars and even if you fail, at least you’ll land on the moon. (;
Since I don’t know which branch you want to know the placement stats for, here’s the general placement scenario for the SCIT branches:
To list out some big names that visited MUJ for campus placements for the academic session 2018–19, Microsoft recruited 12 students with a package of around 14–15 lpa. Directi also comes to MUJ for recruitment. It’s famous for its difficult interviews and coding rounds. If you get in, a package in the range 20–28 lpa is waiting for you.
We also had Dell, which organized a Hackathon for recruitment this year. Fortunately, we have a lot of Hackathons taking place at MUJ, and the participation is always massive. The package was 8–10 lpa. Amazon also visits MUJ, and it recruited 1 student in the year 2017–18 for a package of 27 lpa.
In recent years, the average package for SCIT students has reached up to 5.25–5.75 lpa. Mass recruiters like Cognizant and Capgemini generally offer a package in the range 4–4.25lpa.
