How is the IS (Information Science) branch for engineering? Does it have any similarity with the CS branch?

Information science and Engineering branch is very similar to computer science. The difference starts from 5th semester onwards with few subjects different from computer science in each semester. Also, there are different electives in each semester. Apart from this there are no other differences.
