First of all, the curriculum at IITJ has gone a complete revamp. We have a lenient branch change policy wherein 18 students were promoted to cse this year. Also, The btech in EE here has compulsory subjects such as DSA, ML and pattern recognition, Quantum Information etc. Specializations in AI, Data Science, AIOT, AR VR, Intelligent Networking and many more in collaboration with dept of cse, school of AI and School of Management and Entrepreneurship are available. Recently IITJ was granted Rs 125 crore to setup i-Hub Drishti by DST, GoI. This hub is focussed on research in AI and Computer Vision. IITJ also has an active AR VR lab in collaboration with Samsung. We also have collaborations with Samsung, AIIMS, NVIDIA, Entuple Technologies, ANSYS, Cognizant, DRDO and many more. IITJ has a sprawling 852 acres campus and is well connected with the city of Jodhpur. Each student of IITJ is entitled to a single room with AC a very rare sighting in the rest IITs. The food here is pretty good compared to other IITs. Coming to placements, IITJ has an overall placement percentage of 84% and the average package is between 16 to 17 lpa. The highest package last tear was of 50 lpa by Microsoft to both cse and ee students. Coming to campus life, IITJ hosts four fests namely IGNUS(socio-cultural fest), Varchas(Sports fest), Aftaab(Literature fest) and Prometeo(technical fest). We habe a wide range of clubs such as E-cell, Literature and Debate Society, Fine arts, Drama club, Robotics Club, Programming club, Electronics club, Astronomy and aeromodellung club and many more. Devlup labs is an organization for IITJ students that contribute to the open source community.
