I was a CBSE student . In my 10th i gained 10CGPA. Well , to be precise , checking in 10th CBSE Board can be said to be somewhat lenient . Having said that doesn’t mean they give you marks for wrong answers !
It’s just that , being a subjective paper , you receive partial marks here and there . Although , there are word limits to questions so being specific about answers is a must . Talking subject wise , In maths there is no point for partial marks as if your answer is wrong then you get no marks , in English checking is strict , if you didn’t write Tom Dick and Harry then you are in trouble ! In science , checking is fare enough .
For other part of your question , yes CBSE is easier than ICSE , but again easier doesn’t mean it is easy , it is also tough , after all it is Boards we are talking about . Speaking of personal experience ,if you do previous years papers then you will sure have an upper hand in the exam as some questions tend to repeat themselves in Boards CBSE .
