I’m an ex-student of MSRIT. And let me tell you that the college life at MSRIT is way better than other colleges in Bangalore.
Subjects: They make sure that their subjects and Curriculum are updated as per the current day Industry needs unlike the VTU where students still study the subjects of the Stone Age.
Faculty: Well, this depends on the Department that you would be getting into. As I was from the Dept of ISE, I can say that the lecturers and professors are really helpful and friendly. So are the lecturers from the Dept of CSE as per what most of my CS friends had told me.
Campus Life: Campus life is one of the best when it comes to MSRIT. There are 20+ clubs in the college spread across various interests right from Debating, Theatre, Photography, Social Service, Technical, Entrepreneurship and many more. And if you don’t see a club of your interest, then you are allowed to start your own club. And throughout the year you would see many Cultural and Technical fests and events happening around, so you see a lively atmosphere everywhere. Kannada Rajyotsava and the Annual College Fest “Udbhav” are the most celebrated fests of MSRIT.
Friends: Well, this is the best part of your engineering life. You would realise that the college crowd here is very friendly and (most of them) extroverts. You would have made friends from all the departments as you would have been a part of some or the other club. You would see a mix of culture as students come from all over India and even some other countries. Personally, I have had the best days of my life here all coz of my friends.
Placements: Well, again it depends on your branch. Branches like CSE, ISE, ECE love it when it comes to placements, as most of the Tech Giants come here for recruitments with some good pay packages. I don’t know much about the other departments though.
