I just recently completed my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from LPU. I’ll be honest with you. If you have background with any Programming Language then LPU is the best university for you .
Pros :
> Placements : This year ,over 50 companies came just to recruit freshers of CSE. Going up to package of 16.5 lac p.a. Well , if you have studied in your 4 years , you don’t have to worry about it. Not only that, LPU starts preparing for placements (Verbal,Aptitude,Interviews,GD and lot more) in 2nd year only. So by the time companies actually come you are confident and interviews seems like piece of cake.
> Education : Not like other universities , LPU actually cares about the students curriculum. It is every year updated according to industry requirements (consulted with industry experts). Regular classes and tests will make you feel like you are still in school. Ask a faculty any question, any number of times they will explain it and help you with everything.
> Fun : Well there is a Block dedicated just for that , It is of the students, by the students, for the students. Regular Events like One India , One World will feel like festivals . If you have an idea in your mind about any fun activity LPU actually provides you a platform to make it real. If that’s not all your wish to see your favorite celebrity can come true. LPU is often a place for movie starts like SRK , Depika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor,Akshay Kumar and others to promote their movies.
> Scholarships : If you worked hard for your 12th and scored good marks , LPU appreciates it by providing with Scholarship.
> Central Library : Huge Library with almost every book you would ever need for your curriculum.
> Drug Free and No Raging, In fact Seniors are very helpful.
But every coin has two faces and Pros comes with cons.
Cons :
> Sometimes you would feel like its very hard to find time for yourself. Because for about 3/4th of your degree you will study over 10 courses per semester.
> Classes can start at 8 am and 75% of attendance is mandatory . For those of us who likes to sleep late its a con , right ?
> As mentioned in an above post , some of the faculties are ex-students of Lovely itself . The truth behind it is that some of the students like to teach , and look for making a career in that ,and Lovely provides them with an opportunity, a proper Interview just like for anyone who looks for a job in LPU. But most of the faculties have worked in industry and have lots of experience.
> If you are really in bad luck, you can miss a fun event because of a class test. But that’s all part of life.
I as a Student really loved to be part of the University and to be honest , I already miss it .
