I was fortunate to join ARSD, a not so popular south campus college (popularly known as “venky ke bagal wala”).
I spent four amazing years (The single B.Tech batch-FYUP) in DU and my life was amazing from academics to social life, everything was just awesome. From the very first day in the college to the last day, i just created wonderful memories.
In the first few months, there’s hesitation and fear among almost all fresh faces (fear of ragging & hesitation because of new faces all around). Initially all the students will be attending all the classes but as time will pass and they will get to know each other, the class strength will go down. We bunked lectures (mass bunk and individual bunks both), there’s no issue of attendance, infact there were students who only appeared on examination & practical days only. We never felt study pressure during whole college life. We used to study in the last few days and still managed to pass the examination with good marks. Our teachers were good too, if we’ll not mess up with the teacher directly, we were fortunate to get good internal marks too.
Satya niketan, the place where most of our college was spent at. We got so much time (normal breaks and bunks) to enjoy, we used to eat at satya or explore delhi. And the best thing is subsidised DTC bus pass, i am telling you, this is one of the best things offered here. Due to the time and bus pass, we explored whole delhi and nearby places once and some places were visited twice and even thrice too.
