How is it studying mechanical engineering at BITS Pilani?

It is pretty fun to say the least!!

The teachers vaguely fall into two categories
1. The ones who are masters of the subject but aren’t able to teach it that well.
2. The ones who know the subject pretty well and also teach extraordinarily well.
But the most awesome part is that none of them are sadists and almost everyone is quite approachable.
The subjects are pretty interesting with a student learning from how engines and refrigerators work to how gears, nuts, bolts, bearings etc are designed, to how a fluid flows in pipes and around objects such as vehicles, planes etc.
Even though one’s liking towards a subject depends upon one’s interest but broadly if one like high school mechanics, thermodynamics and properties of solids then one shouldn’t have a problem.

Then we have the workshop projects which are pretty fun if you like to physically make things. The pleasure that one derives after seeing a simple machine function after hours of physical labour is unparalleled. Although sometimes the workers do get on your nerves and the heat leaves you drenched in sweat.
