Being an undergrad in BE Aerospace from Hindustan University, I guess I am eligible to answer this question. Firstly, working in Aerospace Industry is different from studying Aerospace Engineering. If your brother is interested in working and contributing for Aerospace Industry, it is better he choose a more wider core field like ECE or Mech. This is because, many Manufacturing and design companies prefer recruiting Mech. undergraduates. In case of working for satellites and space communication there is nothing more better than ECE.
Now being specific to your question, if your brother has only a choice of studying in Hindustan University, then go for Aerospace in HITS. But if he has other universities too in mind then do not come to Hindustan. It is only money waste. In the 4 years of time they squeeze money from you even without your notice. In case of hostels, if you are planning for one, they are bad, especially for the fee you pay they do not provide anything even to meet the least of your expectations. For the labs, let me tell you they are museums not labs. Because you have everything, starting from a Boeing 737 simulator to a MIG aircraft, and from a solid rocket burner to avionics equipment. But only to see. You cannot explore or experiment with anything. It is easy to get marks but difficult to get knowledge. Let me tell you, it’s not impossible just difficult to get knowledge. You have an extensive library but limited copies of each books. Jobs, very few, especially for core jobs, I got placed in a core company. But I am just one among those lucky 10% people for core. Better try Anna University or affiliated college for Aero, if not IIT’s.
