IIT Hyderabad provides separate hostel blocks for girls and boys (They are just side by side though). Boys are not allowed in girls hostel. But we have similar buildings for both girls and boys. So I will give details about boys hostel (description holds for girls hostel as well).
The Kandi campus of IIT Hyderabad has beautifully designed hostel buildings. They have adopted the unique structure. The following pic taken by drone will give you the idea. four aage piche wali endings in each block are pods. each pod has 8 rooms, so 32 rooms on each floors.
