BITS, Pilani is a very good educational institution. It is considered as the number one private institute for engineering studies in India and is also considered immediately after the top five old IITs. Be it education, hostel accomodation, mess, campus life, placement: facilities wise, it is the best institute in India.
Of course, the cost of education is slightly more than that at IITs.
