It’s a great college. If you can afford it, it’s an opportunity you can’t miss. Labs are one of the best you can find. I actually share hallway with a guy who had rank in IIT’s in 1000’s and came to Dubai just cuz it has best labs. Most equipment as to my knowledge are shipped in from Germany.
Academics is great. BITS has one of the best course for engineering all over India. It’s simple and yet all you need to become an engineer. BITS doesn’t believe in giving 12-14subjects a semester. Max, you have 6subjects a semester. Many even end up having 2-3subjects a semester in later years. Same goes for the Dubai campus or goa or Hyderabad.
Faculty is good. All of them are well versed in their course. All of the faculty staff has a Ph.D.’s or are studying through BITS to get their Ph.D. while working as a teacher. They can be really helpful if you ask for their help.
Moreover, a cherry on the cake, if you planning to go to the US for masters, BPDC gets a bit of preference over other colleges. (Just something every 4year with fewer GRE marks says to their juniors :p)
