Hey.
I am a student at UPES and thus will take the liberty to give my opinion on this University only.
It is not an IIT.
What does that mean? YOU might be passionate about Aerospace, because hey, its Aerospace ya, how can you not love that branch?!
Well, no.
90% of your classmates took it because of pure chance – Aerospace was available, and so they took it.
So four years down the line, you shouldn’t let that kind of an atmosphere get under your nerves.
Its a private college.
Meaning? They will not discourage you if you want to get into extensive research, but hey, there’s no money in their account for Space Tech.!
Now, why would you still want to take Aerospace here?
If your answer is yes and that is because you are passionate about this stream, then I would say, have no second thoughts buddy, just go for it.
It’s okay if it is only UPES and not IIT Bombay that you are studying Aerospace Engineering in. If you are passionate about what you are doing, the world will only sit and marvel as you flash past it.
Even in UPES, put in the right efforts at the right places at the right time, and you can do wonders, literally. There are faculty here who will give their best to help you achieve something, is they see that spark in you.
And its never down to the college really. This is just Undergrad. You have whole world’s doors open to you when you pass out. How wide open are they, well that only depends on how you spent your four years here, really.
All the best. Cheers!
