Okay let me tell you my own experience.
I got admitted to delhi University in 2014 in one of the north campus girls college. I took admission there because i was unable to make it to good btech colleges of the country(so basically it was a compromise).Initially it was not very good feeling but after getting admission when i came home story began from here. Since i make into a north campus college of the top University of india most of the people thought i must have secured very high percentage in boards(actually i did,not very high but yes okay)as through media they only heard about 99 cut off of srcc and they were sort of proud of me.
Then the first year begins and you get to know about different societies, groups in colleges and get to meet with new and different people, almost from all States and backgrounds. This is one of the best thing about delhi University. Then comes election season and even if you want to or not you will be attrated to the crowd in white kurta payjama having pumphlates and lot of enthusiasm in their hands.
As the semester passes by you will be going to love your college your campus your city as it has totally different vibe to live in here. In semester break when you pack your bags and get ready to leave for you home you will see a lot of students around you leaving,it felt like some family function has ended.
