Once you report to the campus, you will be given a sheet with the list of courses you are required to take in the first semester. Note that not every first yearite will have the same courses. Couple of courses might differ. Once you know the courses you are supposed to take, go through the details (lecture hours/tutorial hours and list of professors for that particular course) of those courses in the Timetable book (which will be provided to you on the day of reporting itself).
Next step, befriend a senior and ask for his/her opinion on the faculty for the courses you have to take. They will give you a rough idea about the professors and the advantages/disadvantages of taking a course under those professors. So now you can make a rough priority list of the professors you want to choose for the respective courses.
Finally, pray that you get a good PR No. PR No. is nothing but a random numbers generated by a software assigned to the incoming students. Lower PR No. = Earlier call for finalising your timetable.
Don’t worry of you don’t get all the desired classes. Since there is zero attendance, you can always attend the classes of other professors you wish to attend. But make sure that you don’t miss any surprise test in the process.
