All counseling is the same. What you need is a good counselor and those are hard to find. Many mental health professionals suck at their job just like anybody else. Don’t look at it like you need to find one councilor. Take a holistic approach and find a strong team. Should be a fitness coach. A nutritionist. A psychologist. Maybe even a work shop on journalling. There is a multi facet level to healing and you have to hit all of it. Probably good to have a yoga instructor or some kind of spiritual or religious advisor as well.
Need to hit your: nutrition, need to keep a record of your thoughts and feelings and triggers, need to share in the lives of others and build strong relationships, need to feed your spirit, need to work out your mind, need to train your body.
