Pretty simple if you follow these steps :
- Switch off your smartphone : Or switch to any basic phone like Nokia 105 or 108 because this time is really vital and things may go really worse if you shift your focus to chatting or PUBG. Just keep a simple and basic phone if you need to make a call. Trust me, I had a Nokia 108 for this purpose..
- Shrink your friend circle : Try not to have too many friends to avoid peer pressure and other unwanted social activities. Limit your friends to only the ones who can help you with studies or the ones with whom you can compete, basically, anyone that will help you benefit
- Forget junk foods : When you don’t have a nutritious diet, your body will crave for energy, lacking which you’ll feel fatigued easily. Not that you are barred from having, but try to keep it as minimal as possible. Also eat enough of nutritious food, a balanced diet
- Get enough sleep : Don’t get influenced by your competitor who would say I studied the whole night long. Never sacrifice your sleep for studies. Remember, only in proper health, you can study properly, rather retain what you study. I’ve never studied for NEET beyond 1 am at max (Mostly it used to be 00:00)
- Devote time for self study : No matter how many private tutors or coaching classes you’ve joined, the ultimate learning has to be done by you. Don’t misinterpret that I’m encouraging not to join tutions, even I had them..but make sure what is taught in there, is covered by you that day itself.
- Don’t devote maximum time to board exams : Board exams are necessary, obviously, but make sure that your target is 600+ in NEET and not 95% in boards.
- Have your study room decorated with NEET ornaments : Try to make charts, flowcharts, mnemonics and drawings in your study room instead of posters of Hollywood actors or singers. They’ll help you a lot !!
- Have frequent breaks while studying : Don’t study continuously for more than an hour. Have 15 minutes break in between each hour. Don’t devote that break into something that would divert your attention. Listen to songs after you finish studying for a day. It would greatly refresh your mood
- Study smart : NEET is an objective MCQ based exam. Only smart study will give you fruitful results. Mug up the whole NCERT, make as many mnemonics as possible. Revise the Formula based derivation problems in Physics to such an extent that you don’t even need to solve it again in the exam hall. Try shortcuts for numericals in Physics as well as Chemistry. Study by constantly making notes instead of blindly staring at the same page for half an hour. For details on how to study individual subjects, visit my Quora profile for separate answers.
- Obey your parents : Quite an unexpected point, right ? Well, at your stage, you tend to get swayed by the hormones and sometimes get disoriented, too. Remember, our parents have passed that stage once, and they know best about you. Therefore, at this age, when everything that you do seems to be right, I would always advice you to respect and obey your elders.
