How do I prepare for the UPSC if I am studying in MBBS (1st year)?

  • 0

As you mentioned that you are in first year, so my advice to you would be relax a little as there are chances that UPSC will change the pattern by the time you graduate..

But some things will remain as it is, so what you can do is

  1. Read newspaper regularly any national newspaper will do be the Hindu or Indian express
  2. You have to develop a habit of reading plus making notes out of relevant articles
  3. Notes making doesn’t mean writing point by point the entire article instead notedown important points it’s your ability to summarise entire article in few lines
  4. Now comes the most important point ex if an article is about citizenship then open any source on constitution learn about articles related to it in this case 5–11 and also go for historical framework of our constitution how citizenship came into existence. Also you have to look at words like naturalisation, equality, liberty etc… and learn their definition. Compare citizenship in countries like UK, USA, Japan, etc
