I have been preparing for NEET PG entrance exam since last two years. I can’t guide you much about preparation strategy coz everyone’s have their own but I can definitely warn you about the mistakes which I had done and I don’t want you to commit.
- Review your Grand Test : No doubt many aspirants give grand test regularly but only a few of them review it. You have to review it no matter what. If you can’t review all questions atleast do review the ones which are wrong. Without reviewing ,giving GTs won’t help you much.
- Multiple Revision : Multiple fast revisions are far better than a single or twice thorough revision.
- Integrated revision : Try to integrate different subjects like Path with medicine and Pharma or Anat and surgery. In this way you will be able to cover more chunk of syllabus in less amount of time and with better understanding. With coming NEET/NEXT pattern such kind of integrated study is very helpful. And if you are the person who gets bored easily with one subject, you will find it very helpful.
- Multiple sources for same topic : By this I mean we can refer to different platform for different subjects like if you find pharma easy in prepladder or anat in marrow…this is okay. But studying same topics and creating a mess out of your notes is unacceptable.( FOMO do make you commit this mistake). After solving different platform qbank or GTs include only specific information which is either an important recent update or previous year mcq which isn’t in your notes.
- And lastly, I didn’t had any last minute revision booklet so I found it hard in last 4–5 days what to revise. So I will suggest that do make a booklet or small diary which has all volatile topics and all colour coding/ size / tubes/ kits kind of rote memorization stuff.
I hope that you will avoid all these mistakes and clear your exams with flying colours.
