I am 2014 batch passout and I completed my internship in Dec 2019. I passed out from Maulana Azad Medical College, which has one of the most hectic internships anywhere.
I gave the November 2019 exams, followed by Neet 2020 (AIR 1115) and mid year 2020 (AIIMS rank 215, PGI rank 9) and I’m finally now pursuing MD Internal Medicine from PGIMER Chandigarh. This post would be relatable to those who are going to join internship or are already working as medical officers.
The first step is to start early. I joined DAMS in 3rd year(covering 3rd and final year subjects) and 1st and 2nd year subjects in final year, followed by T and D in internship year. My point being that the majority of my notes were completed by the time I started internship in Jan 2018. I just had to revise those and add stuff from T and D in my notes.
I also subscribed to Marrow plan B in March 2018 and the question bank and test series worked really well for me, because it was handy and I could do it on the go, even with some free time when I was on duty. The explanations were excellent and the questions asked are really relevant to what is asked in the main exams.
