30LPA is a consultant level salary.
A BTech fresher graduate will have to start as a assistant system engineer or a engineering/graduate trainee for which the pay is around 2–5LPA (for 75% cases) in case for colleges like NIT,BIT etc the range would go higher. Even if you are in CSE/IT or Mechanical/Civil/EE/EEE/ECE the on-campus opportunities will be almost the same. Extra ordinary salary packages of 15LPA beyond are offered in IITs but hardly 1–3 students get such offers.
As a BTech student your aim should be:
- practice aptitude; that will be the first round for any drive be it on-campus, off-campus, govt or banking recruitment.
- Sharpen your soft skills
- learn basics like AI, IoT, Block chain, ERP-SAP & excel till intermediate level.
- any one programing language basics: C/Java/Python/.Net programing
