Telecommunication(TC) in the second year is almost exactly the same as ECE but a little different from EEE.
There are some topics like power and control theory which are only touched upon in TC but which later become Core subjects for EEE students. Even their electives are completely different from those offered to TC.
ECE in the third year focuses on VLSI and Verilog and other core electronics subjects which are only offered as Electives in Telecommunication. However both courses will have Digital and Analog Communication Systems as core subjects. In TC you’ll have the added flexibility of choosing Computer Science or Information Science related electives whereas in ECE those options are limited.
