How can a commerce student become an Indian Army officer?

from commerce background you can join both IMA(indian militiary academy) and OTA(officers training academy) through CDSE(combined defence services examination) for indian army.
every year UPSC releases two notifications for CDSE examination.
for this year 2017 CDSE(1) notification came out in November 2016 and the exam was held in February. usually UPSC releases the results within three months and the SSB interviews will be completed by september for IMA and OCTOBER for OTA. merit lists will be out by november and the course at IMA starts form january(2018) and for OTA it will be from APRIL(2018).CDSE(2) 2017 notification comes out in july and the exam will take place in october and for this second notification the course at IMA will start from JULY(2018) and for OTA it will be from AUGUST(2018).
