Well until and unless you’re one of those few 20 odd lucky people studying in LSR or SRCC,placements are a joke.I mean there are a few job profiles which go upto 29 LPA but hardly 2–3 people get that on campus then some with 14–15 LPA but again only 5–6 people get those.Rest of the people in SRCC/LSR end up with a job anywhere between 6–10 LPA.
Now about rest of the Delhi University-You’ll end up getting a job of 3–4 LPA at most provided you’re studying in any of the North Campus colleges,South Campus Colleges like Venky,Gargi,JMC,Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and off campus colleges like DCAC,GGS,Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College.
Placements are subjective.Job profiles offered aren’t cool (nothing specific to DU,they don’t pay well to graduates all over India and most of the roles are backend).
Don’t expect much from placements because placements are a joke post-graduation.If you really wish to earn and learn well,a good job which offers you both or even one will come to you only when you graduate from any of the Top 30 Indian B Schools.
Life is much much much beyond placements here and exposure should be the biggest factor to join Delhi University not placements.
