Coming to Placements in NIE , Many companies will come for recruitment for all the branches, but asks for CS,IS and EC branches all the time.
For Civil Department there are some core companies like L&T , Gulf , Atkins and some more but < 10.
Civil people can attend mass companies like TCS , Accenture and some more .,the chances are less for civil people, as i have seen the things over there.
I suggest you to attend only your core companies and don’t fall into IT Trap.
Study further , as for Civil Branches there are lot of Government Jobs .
Start Studying for GATE in 3rd year and study seriously , get into IIT’s or NIT’s and finish ur M.TECH and then ur on ur OWN .
