Toilets: Let me be very blunt about it! It’s nowhere near as good as one would like it to be, especially if you are coming from your home, but you get used to it and then it’s not that bad.
The hostels are different for different years and there’s a new hostel which is being built, so I cannot comment about that one but as of now the year wise hostel review, if you must, is:
Cauvery Hostel (First Year): Very clean and the mess food is better than the other hostel mess we have here.
DJ Hostel (Second Year): It’s nicely built and has a lot of ventilation. The rooms are new and clean. The mess I believe, doesn’t live up to the standards .
Chamundi (Third Year): The simplest words that’d explain the condition of this hostel is that it’s a dungeon. Even the thought of this hostel reminds me of the eerieness of the Max Payne games. People quite often opt out of this hostel. It doesn’t have mess, people eat either in DJ mess or MV mess.
Sir MV Hostel (Fourth Year): The Best of the lot. Excellent accommodation along with a decent mess. No problem there.
