Since In this answer I will consider only govt seats. So I shall not talk about pvt management quota seats however both their allotment mechanism is same
So Let’s Start !!
Let’s Talk about the Two constitutional quota of NEET. The First One Is All India Quota (15% seats) and the other One is State Quota (85% quota) . In the former quota any child from any state or city can study in any medical college of India at his/her desire without any domicile. The latter One is available to only those student who is domiciled to that particular state.
There are Two counseling authorities for NEET Counseling One is MCC (Medical Counseling Committee) And The Other One Is State DME (This Doesn’t Exist I have brought all State DME’s under a common heading ,moreover this Comprises of Many State Counseling Authorities ).
MCC : This Body Is Responsible For 15% quota ie All India Quota Counseling.
STATE DME’s : This Body Is Responsible For 85% quota ie state quota counseling.
Coming to the mechanism of counseling the mechanism for both AIQ and SQ and also Pvt MQ is same.
