UPES is known for it’s flagship Oil and Gas Branches. So placements and opportunities are definitely good for “GOOD” students.
In spite of current recession scenario in Oil and Gas market, companies like Weatherford Drilling, Adani Gas and Shell are coming for campus placements, though they pick up very less no of students. So you have to be competent enough to get selected. If you are good in your domain subjects, money and placement will never be a problem.
But yes, average placement is somewhat around 3 LPA. And there are more number of IT ( non-core) placements than the number of core placements.
And the scenario is same everywhere. Competition doesn’t stop, when you get enrolled in a branch. A new competition will begin. You have to repeatedly and consistently do well. That’s life.
