How are B.Tech CSE placements in MSRIT?

  • 0

I studied Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in MSRIT. The actual situation in Bangalore is whichever college you go, majority of the companies who come for placements are IT Companies and provide eligibilty to almost all departments. There are few IT Companies who look only for CSE and ISE students. However, all these companies do initial qualifying rounds such that those who have good programming and problem solving skills will get through.

Placements in MSRIT starts from the end of 3rd year itself. Usually a flurry of companies start to come from the mid of 4th year, Our batch(2016–20) took a hit since COVID-19 lockdown forced the college to close from mid of 4th year. Still, with almost half a year of placements remaining, almost 70% of EEE batch got placed!. It’s a good number since I’m talking about EEE students getting placed in Bangalore. 60% got placed in IT Companies. But the number of rejections our students faced was a lot since majority looked for CSE and ISE students.

What I am trying to say is, don’t worry about number of companies. Even if you miss first 4–5 companies, chances of getting placed is still high. But most of the companies come with a CTC of 4–7 lakhs. I don’t know how this pandemic (COVID-19) will affect the upcoming batches. But being a CSE/ISE student at MSRIT in Bangalore will definitely give you a lot of opportunities. All you need to do is do well in first 3 years without any thoughts of placement and express yourself in placements (if getting placed is your only aim). Aptitude,
