I’m glad this question is asked.
I wish someone gave me the same advice, and I wish there was Quora when I was in third year.
This answer mainly focuses on computer science and related topics (but covers general issues as well) . I was from Computer Science background (MS in SW to be exact, but suffices for the situation) and these are mostly for people who would like to work after their graduation. I have been working for two years and most of these are also things I wish I knew before.
