CSE degree from street side College is same as the one that you get from IIT. A better college can get you a interview call but to survive an interview you need skill. Only hr looks into your College credentials and in almost any software developer interview HR will never reject you based on college and HR round is just a formality round to negotiate the Money đź’°.
Any Software developer interview will start with “tell me about yourself” but ends with a discussion on how good your tech skills are. You may face 2 to 6 rounds of technical interviews but only 1 or 2 HR rounds as a final formality. Technical interviews only look at how good you are in data structures and algorithms, database, system design netwrking etc etc and your PROJECTs(can’t stress this enough). If you are exceptional in these skills no one can stop you from hiring till you don’t have a criminal case on your back.
