Yes my friend Chitkara has uniform now and have always had it, as once you come to the university you want all kinds of freedom and especially the freedom to wear what you want. But I will tell you that why it’s a good thing to have uniform as many others I was also of the view that I do not want to wear uniform and now let me share my understanding and why my views changed and why I feel it’s a good thing.
Firstly wearing uniform helps all students be at par with each other or you can say be on same platform, this gives a feeling of oneness, one big family that dresses alike and you don’t differentiate with each other based on what you wear. Also it gives a sense of discipline. The best part is the freedom, yes freedom from wasting your time in thinking what you need to wear on a daily basis. The uniform is smart tshirts in black and red as per your program and smart formals, or others like lab coats for the pharma students and chef coats for culinary students and so on. For winters you have hoodies you can pair these with jeans trousers etc.
