No, not at all. Frankly, I’m proud to be studying in one of the oldest and best colleges in the country, one which maintains a synergy between age old legacy and excellence in engineering. Coming to basic facts:
- Placements here are quite good for branches like CSE, Mechanical, Electrical, Mining and Petroleum, thus this great motivator does not create any cause for regret.
- The campus and atmosphere is extremely peaceful and beautiful, and as you’d know, ‘a thing of beauty is a joy forever’, now ‘joy’ and regret don’t normally go together, do they?
- Professors are mostly good but some are a bit cranky but that is how it is at all engineering colleges, isn’t it?
- Dhanbad is an urban city and the most populous in Jharkhand, people might think it is infested with ‘cavemen’ and murderers, but the reality is that the people are sweet and respectful of IITians or ISMites, after all, erstwhile ISM was and IIT(ISM) still is the best college in the state, and these people value hard work. The city is also quite advanced with plush malls which may not rival those at Metros e.g. those in Kolkata
