Fun?!! I don’t know the case of others, but my department and me personally didn’t had even 1% of fun of what I had in my engineering college (I’m doing M. TECH presently in R V College, Highway Technology Department of Civil Engineering).
To be honest, you can rarely expect any cultural events. 8th Mile is the name of the fest held every year (though it can be skipped some years due to shortage of funds!!) will not be as colourfull as it is shown in the videos on YouTube. No frequent cultural events will drag you to the usual boring routine of study and sleep mode. Sports, they say are greatly encouraged. But are rarely done so.
Also, if you are thinking you love your studies (I mean finding it interesting also) then stop dreaming so. Very very unhappy with the quality of teaching that is provided in the college. You have to study on your own. Though lectures will clear your doubt anytime but they are too reluctant to focus on every student
