This is an interesting question and and I think I can justify it as my native is Ranchi where I have lived for about 17 years and then now I am at RVCE in my 3rd year of engineering.
If I weren’t exposed to both the situations I would have definitely gone for BIT Mesra as it has a good ranking and name over RVCE. But now let me make some of the things clear.
1. The placements in RVCE for Cse is good and if you are a student dedicated to your branch then you can get a package of 20 lacs or above easily.
2. No wonder that Bangalore is a technical hub and it supports the budding talents very enthusiastically. Like many of my friends during the course of engineering recognized that they want to open a start up ( which are mostly app based) , so they need financial assistance for that. And here you have infinite number of companies to whom you can approach and fulfil the dream.
3. The quality of engineering in BIT Mesra is deteriorating year by year and it isn’t that “BIT” any more which is sad as it is perhaps only few of the good colleges in and around Jharkhand and Bihar
