I have completed 2 years in CU. So far, I have not hit any pothole, nor do I think it is something exceptional. If you have confidence in your coding abilities staying in CU can be good, you can get into the UCA programme here and have the highest preference in CU.
However considering placements, a lot of the atmosphere is changing. CU no longer promises 100% placements, if you are average or below average, it is going to be extremely difficult for you. Most of the cream gets placed in 3rd Year. The next level gets placed in the 4th, and most will not get any decent placements.
