You may have heard positive reviews of this varsity so far, but the crowd here is overly-optimistic with its online presence. People will barely mention the flaws this place has.
There are many similarities between an average college and Manipal jaipur. This college does not offer radically different syllabus which is actually industry oriented. Most of the coders here learn everything on their own from the web. They just study the course subjects on the side to pass exams. They make you write these assignments and copy paste journals aka lab manual like a clerk. Some faculties are demanding, others are average, don’t expect someone exemplary here. Having a PhD from IITs does not equate to good content delivery in lectures.
Hostels are expensive and people will tell you that they’re 5 star like but you can easily spot signs of ageing and lack of proper maintenance in a lot of older blocks. There is a housekeeping issue, they come to your rooms when they know you are already going for or in lectures but when you complain on their website, they tell you the room was unattended by you. Btw they claim to address all your hostel queries within 48 hours but they don’t. It’s much longer, sometimes it never happens. Every year they keep increasing hostel fees, mess food has some decent items and some not so, I find the food eatable as in filling and not complaining about its taste. Some days though I eat on the campus eateries from kebabs to sandwiches, ice cream, you will find them. But its expensive so keep tabs on your expenses.
Sending them a simple email and expecting a reply is also a fool’s paradise. They don’t bother to be courteous enough to follow up on your issues unless you physically be present to pester them.
