For most part I agreee with Shravan Pradeep’s answer. But, the cut-offs are increasing year on year.
the cutoffs for the most sought after streams in each department (MicroElectronics in EEE, Mechanical in Mechanical and Computer Sciences in CS) was in the 170 – 180 range. The cut off for Structures (Civil) at Pilani was 150+ in 2015 and 140+ at Hyderabad.
I expect the cut-offs to increase by about 5–10 marks every year. There are a couple of FB pages on BITS Pilani M.E. admissions where current and past students try to answer doubts posted by aspirants. Those forums would give you a better perspective on this question.
