What are the things that you learned in your first year at BITS Pilani?

I made so many mistakes in my first year that i can’t even count. Many were because of my lack of maturity and experience in the real world. I was told so many lies by parents and society about life in a prestigious institute, hence i learned everything the hard way.

These are my experiences. Hope you don’t make similar mistakes that i did.

1. I assumed people to be selfless and harmless here. I mean people on Facebook bitsat group seemed to be so nice and welcoming. Hence I was trusting and opening to literally everyone i met. After a lot of backstabbing, i learned the hard way about the reality of life. Be careful!!
2. The gravest mistake i made was I assumed my job to improve as a human being is over. This was the result of all those lies that i was fed for all those years by society and family about these so called prestigious institute.
