1. Don’t get too close to anyone too soon. It takes a while to find out who is the real ones and whom you are going to need to get rid of. Getting too close to wrong people is going to make life difficult later. Go slow in getting too attached. You’ll find the right ones.
2. Don’t get too interested in love. You are here to study. People have given up their life ambitions for their love interest. Love will happen. Build your CG NOW.
3. Number of Clubs / Departments you join should always be <= 1.
They don’t matter at all. Probably a bullet point in your resume. But that’s not what going to help you in getting into a B-School or a job.
4. Placements are random. Totally.
5. People will get jealous of you. Don’t let it get to you. Even your most closest friends will get jealous of you. Its ok.
6. Don’t waste your time on video games / TV series etc. This is probably the only time when you have so much time to just learn. Utilize that.
7. BITS is pretty awesome. Make the most of that. Go places. Connect with professors. Get great admits. Leverage and grow the brand.
