The protest ended on a strong note.
On the last night of protest, the campuses were put on ‘lights out’ and all the students gathered with their mobile flashlights/torches *see photo* marking the end of our silent protest.
The final decision has not come yet, we students have dispersed to our respective homes/intern stations. Our fee notice (which comes to us by mail before the end of semester) hasn’t come yet, it has been put on hold till a final decision comes.
Before the end of semester, representatives of Student’s union had a discussion with directors of all three campuses on live cam conference rooms. This meeting proved to be not very fruitful, as most of our questions were directed to null by one of the directors (I’d rather not say his name :p) in a very “political” manner, with no solid reasoning and beating around the same points as a reply to every question they were asked. This did lead to great frustration and disappointment amongst students who were expecting some positive outcome after days of silent protest. Anyhow, the directors have made a list of our questions and demands and they will carry forward the meeting with the VC of BITS once he’s back to health (he was admit in AIIMS Delhi due to poor health, or so we were told :p).
