What is the story on the room number GN 137 on Pilani campus?

  • 2

Here’s the story you want:
Gandhi Bhawan is the only hostel in the entire campus with a QT (quadrangle lawn) having a small shrine where watchman lights incense sticks to keep away the unholy spirits. He is probably too religious and superstitious which makes him do this but he says that he hears hissing noises at night and sometimes, sound of something dripping on the floor. He is too afraid to open the door to check what it is because he knows that water can’t drip from the roofs of rooms on the ground floor. What is it, then? It could be blood.
This is a story of room number 137 of Gandhi Bhawan at BITS Pilani, Pilani campus. People might hide their fear with a slight smile but when people listen to this story for the first time, their throats get parched, hair stand on their ends and a shiver travels down their spine. This story is about love, this story is about murder, this story is about loss, this story is about haunted room- about Gandhi 137.
It is said that once, there lived in boy in Gandhi room number 137. He was a bookworm (or a ghot as the BITSian lingo goes) who hardly had any interest in the activities of campus. He didn’t participate in the games and gossips of the wing. His life was limited from his room to the lecture halls. But it is rightly said that someone with double X chromosomes can change anyone. Yes, a girl entered his life. It was a surprise for some and a matter of shock for those who were desperately trying to have a girlfriend
